Glasses Donation to Lunettes Sans Frontier
Dear readers,
As part of my personal 2010 resolutions (which is to de-clutter our apartment), I’m organizing glasses donation to Lunettes Sans Frontier (LSF), which is based in France. If you happen to have old glasses (prescribed or sunglasses), frames, or even empty cases in good conditions, and would like to donate them, let me know so that we can send them together. However, as the shipping of the glasses to France, and then to the country of destination, is not cheap, I’d like also to ask for a voluntary CHF1 donation for every pair of glasses (more is welcome, of course). What I’ll get in excess of the postage to France will be donated to LSF. I’ll send you a proof of the shipping and money transfer afterward. But again, this is voluntary – I’ll take your glasses even without the cash donation.
More about LSF can be read in their website. I’ve done some research online and it seems that LSF is the best one for glasses donation. We all know that prescribed glasses are very individual and it’s always difficult to find the right person to donate them to (while they’re usually still too good to just be thrown away).
Please leave a comment or send me an email to info(AT)lausannemom.com if you would like to donate.
Thanks,
meta.
