Valentine Giveaway: A Bouquet of Cupcakes from Cake & Bake!
Do you remember the cake from the post about my daughter’s 4th birthday? It was baked by Melissa of Cake & Bake. It was really beautiful and tasted so good — so that when Melissa offered a bouquet of cupcakes for a Valentine’s Day giveaway, I replied “yes, please” within split second. Who wouldn’t like to spoil themselves with such lovely treats on the sweetest day of the year?
Imagine a dozen of these cupcakes as a bouquet…
Guaranteed the sweetest Valentine’s Day treat ever!
Now, please, leave a comment below this post and share your story: What was the worst Valentine’s day celebration or gift that you’ve ever had?
Comments are accepted until Monday, 11 Feb 2013 at 11:59PM. One winner will be picked by random.org and announced on this page. Winner must pick-up the cupcakes (in St-Sulpice, close to EPFL/UNIL) on Valentine’s Day or after (upon agreement with Melissa).
Good luck!
Winner announcement on 12 Feb 2013:
random.org made its choice. And this time the winner is:
Reading her comment again, I think it’s perfect as it doesn’t seem to me that her husband will get her anything this V-day (btw, if it makes you feel better, mine won’t either, Antonia!).
Hope you all will have a great V-day this year, if you celebrate it. Stay safe and warm today!

My ex bfd was a mad keen climber. So it was training night at the climbing wall and he took me there to go climbing. No romantic meal or prevents. Hence, now an ex!!!!
My husband bought me the proverbial heart shaped box of chocolates and later on in the evening when I grabbed the box to have some, my favorites were eaten already. I bought myself a new box the next day for half price!!!
The worst valentine’s celebration was when my husband completely forgot!
That would be the year we were in the middle of massive blizzard that closed down absolutely everything…including the bus I was hoping to take home that night. I think it was something absurd like 19 inches of snow!
The worst valentine gift i ever has was dumbell
To be sick with high fever and absolutely no appetite…. So much for a romantic Velentine’s Day dinner
Ah, that would be a Valentine’s Day many moons ago when I thought the only proper way to celebrate it was with a special someone of romantic interest–and when there was no one around to fit that description. Now that’s no longer the case, but if it were, I’d celebrate with friends.
Hmmm, DH doesn’t believe in wasting money on commercially driven occasions… So does all count???
Being proposed to by drunk guys when working the night of the 14th in the Emergency Department!
Spending the first Valentine’s dinner with my new boyfriend and all he could talk about was his ex and what they used to do for Valentine’s!
I don’t really have a bad Valentine experience, i guess the worse ones are when hubby is away, although if we do have anything planned its never on the actual day since its kind of hassle with reservations, babysitters, etc!
I once spent a Valentine’s day studying for an exam with a few other people. There was one girl there I liked, but I thought she was eying this other hip guy, with mad dancing skills, so I didn’t think I stood a chance. But I was soooo wrong…
Mmmnnn probably all the gifts I didn’t get!!!
A creepy (but well-intentioned) card from an ex-bf. I found it the next morning under the windshield wiper of my car!
My husband being away for work I think, it has happened a couple of times, but not this year
With my ex- boyfriend, I brought him flowers and got nothing in return, felt a bit stupid!
The first year with my ex-husband to be, I dipped all sorts of fruits in chocolate and made a nice surprise in his studio. However, in return I got nothing so the Valentine thing faded away…
We ussually do not celebrate St. Valentine. So, I do not expect anything and if I get something I am always nicely surpriced whatever it is.
My husband brought me a brown bear packed in a pink plastic when I already a mum. So that bear handed over to my kid at the end.
The worst was when a high school boyfriend
Bought me this tacky giant heart necklace
And he wore the giant key?!?! Key to his heart lol!!
Never had a bad one…but we don’t always celebrate it on the Dday.
